Fish River Rural Health (FRRH) is accepting applications for a full-time Medical Assistant, to work with a distinguished team of professionals at all our well-established and expanding clinical practices. The ideal candidate must be professional, reliable, caring and compassionate, mission-minded, have excellent communication skills [written and verbal], adapt to ongoing requirement changes, and be able to multi-task in a high volume fast-paced clinical office setting. The FRRH practice team is dedicated to providing the most effective patient-centered care to our community and improving patient health outcomes. The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting a team of healthcare providers to deliver exceptional patient care services and perform all duties in a manner which promotes the team approach. Through departmental workflow, the Medical Assistant will be required to room patients [patient set-up]; immunizations; injections; phlebotomy; maintaining accurate patient medication lists, medical histories, and other clinical documentation; maintaining tracking systems and providing patient education. Experience with an Electronic Health Record system is highly preferred. Medical Assistant experience, or prior working knowledge in the medical field, or in a medical office setting, required. Computer skills and knowledge required. Ability to speak French helpful, but not required. Excellent fringe benefits available.

Bolduc Avenue Health Center - Optometry Clinic in Fort Kent
Fish River Rural Health is accepting applications for a Full-Time Optical Assistant at the Bolduc Avenue Health Center - Optometry Clinic in Fort Kent. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, self-starter, organized, and detailed-oriented with the ability to multitask while working in a fast-paced optometry practice. The successful candidate will join an exceptional team of compassionate professionals within this growing practice. The selected candidate will assist patients in frame and lens selection, obtain optical measurements, prepare necessary prescription orders, perform minor frame repairs and adjustments, instruct patients in wearing and caring for contact lenses, obtain price quotes for eyewear products, maintain all aspects of optical dispensary, document in an Electronic Health Record [EHR] system, and assist with clerical duties and patient clinical setup. Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED required, with 1- or 2- years training program or experience in the field of optometry or optical knowledge, preferred. Willing to train a mission-minded candidate. Computer skills specifically Microsoft Word and Excel required. Ability to speak French helpful, but not required.
