• PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

Twin Rivers Paper Company is a leader in the production of specialty papers. We are pleased to announce that our Madawaska Operation is seeking a committed individual to join our team to work full-time as a PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the development and implementation of new product manufacturing process between the pulp and paper mill production teams
- Assist operations in the scale up of new paper grades, including trials at the mill and at the customer's plant
- Provides support for a product or range of products through all phases of product development and manufacturing
- Works directly with customers in the field to address problems as required.
- Provides guidance in reformulating recipes
- Directs the testing, analysis, and screening of various materials for customer applications based on durability, functionality and cost effectiveness
- Drive activities with vendors to define and design new product development and manufacturing process

Requirements:
- BS or MS in chemical engineering with major in paper science and 5+ years of product engineering experience
- Detailed understanding of diagnostic product testing, failure analysis, and debugging techniques
- Solid understanding of paper making and process and competitive landscape of product designs
- Self- starter with strong leadership, communication skills and demonstrated problem solving ability
